Ad Club

The Ad Club provides insights into the advertising world, connects you with industry professionals, and provides internship and job opportunities to support your advertising career.

WVU's Ad Club is a member of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the nation’s oldest national advertising trade association, and the only association representing all facets of the advertising industry. AAF membership is comprised of nearly 100 corporate members including the nation’s leading advertisers, advertising agencies, and media companies; a national network of nearly 200 professional level clubs representing 40,000 advertising professionals; and more than 200 AAF college chapters with more than 5,000 student members.

The WVU AAF Ad Club is open to all students regardless of major or class rank. The main goal of the student organization is to compete in the National Student Advertising Competition, an annual nationwide competition with a real-life client. There are also opportunities to attend student conferences and networking events, such as the AAF national Student Insight/Interaction event, a two-day conference where students can learn about the field of advertising, discover what trends are developing in the industry and get a jumpstart on their career by networking with knowledgeable advertising professionals and recruiters
