Harrison Omnicom Visiting Professor in Advertising

B.S. Journalism (Ohio University)

Chuck Borghese is the Harrison Omnicom Visiting Professor in Advertising at the College of Media. Prior to joining the College, he was the New York City group creative director at Merkley + Partners as well as a lecturer at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.

Borghese has worked in creative for numerous agencies over his 20-year career including, Lowe & Partners, Doner, Ogilvy & Mather and DDB Worldwide, writing and producing over 400 commercials, countless radio campaigns, print ads, websites and social media efforts. Brands he has helped elevate include Mercedes Benz, Coca-Cola, Lipton, Popsicle and Arby’s.

During his career he has worked on numerous noteworthy campaigns including the one that helped Sprite move ahead of 7-Up in sales and awareness, the campaign for Klondike Bars that took a silent brand and created a buzz that led to four quarters of sales growth and the award-winning “America Responds to AIDS” campaign for the Clinton Administration.

Borghese earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ohio University.
