Heather Cole

Teaching Assistant Professor

M.F.A. (Goddard College)

Heather Cole is a teaching assistant professor in the Interactive Design for Media program.

As an interdisciplinary artist, Heather works and teaches in a variety of media. As of August 2019, she will be a member of the teaching faculty in the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University. Prior to that, she taught for Penn State University's Erie campus.

She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree at Goddard College in Vermont and finished undergraduate studies as well as K-12 art teaching certification at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

When she isn't teaching, Heather delights in expanding her tools to support humanist concepts. She also perpetually researches best delivery methods to help her students go further in their work for the brief moment they're with her. Her present areas of inquiry include Game Art, Augmented Reality in the Arts, Praxis, and Community Building through the Arts.
