Sang (Sammy) Lee
Dr. Lee is an associate professor and serves as the research and international curriculum director at the WVU Reed College of Media. He also serves as the Co-faculty Research Director for the Public Interest Communication (PIC) Research Lab in the Reed College of Media.
Prior to coming to WVU, he taught advertising and mass communication courses at Pennsylvania State University as a full time professor. Lee’s research primarily focuses on crisis communication and corporate social responsibility. Lee earned his doctorate degree in mass communication from Pennsylvania State University in 2004, a master’s degree in advertising from Michigan State University in 1986 and a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from Chung Ang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1984. Lee has more than 10 years of professional experience in advertising and persuasive communication. He worked as an account executive for Cheil Communication and as the marketing communication manager for Samsung Electronics America. He also worked for CCAI, an advertising agency based in New Jersey.
