School of Journalism alumnus and Charleston (W.Va.) Gazette reporter Ken Ward, Jr. (BSJ, 1990) was recently named to The Huffington Post’s “Game Changers” in the Green category.
Recognized for his coverage of the impacts of West Virginia’s coal industry, Ward shares the honor with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa P. Jackson, actors Kevin Costner and Robert Redford, comedian Stephen Colbert, and several local activists from around the country.
