Big Girls, Small Kitchen is growing beyond our New York apartments. We are looking for savvy, food-loving Online Marketing Interns to join our team as we launch a new section of our web platform: BGSK College.

Big Girls, Small Kitchen (BGSK) is a 2-year-old food website for twenty-something cooks written and edited by Cara Eisenpress and Phoebe Lapine. Our upcoming cookbook, tentatively titled Cara and Phoebe’s Quarter-Life Kitchen, will be published by Harper Collins in Spring 2011. To learn more, visit www.biggirlssmallkitchen.com.

Job Description:
BGSK College Ambassadors will dedicate 5 hours a week to online marketing tasks and writing projects. They must possess a passion for cooking, the web, social media, entertaining and writing about food experiences with friends. In short: We need enthusiastic, web-savvy foodies with rampant creative ideas and a pressing need to voice them.

Ambassadors will also perform market research and analysis, work on social media, contribute to twenty-something blogs, engage in outreach to other food- and college oriented websites, research the best products for college chefs, attend and host local cooking events, and help us launch our new platform They will be given a profile on BGSK College’s site and be able to pitch articles for publication. They’ll also be eligible to write product reviews and receive cooking merchandise.

Qualifications:
—Current college Junior or Senior, 3.0 Minimum GPA.
—Class experience in communications, business, creative writing, journalism, and/or photography.
—ttention to detail, strong writing skills, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
—Passionate about cooking, food, and sharing meals with friends, with the ability to articulate personal experiences effectively and creatively through a variety of mediums.
—Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
—Socially-connected (both online and off).
—Avid consumer of different online news sources and blogs.
