WVU College of Engineering and Mineral Resources seeks graduate assistant to help with recruitment efforts

Job Description:

The College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is seeking a graduate assistant to specialize in Graduate Engineering Recruitment. This student’s main responsibility will be devising communication plans for graduate recruiting, communications pieces, and scheduling the timing for communications delivery. The responsibilities are not limited to this, and may also include drafting letters for graduate recruitment to be sent to schools and individual students; planning, assisting with, and attending evening and weekend sessions for graduate information fairs; and assisting with and attending graduate college fairs on behalf of the WVU College of Engineering and Mineral Resources.

This person must be able to work independently, as well as in groups. He or she must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple-projects at one-time. Good writing skills are necessary. A background in communications, marketing, public relations, or advertising is preferable.

The graduate assistant will be eligible for a tuition waiver as well as a stipend. He or she will be required to work 20 hours per week when school is in session.
