WTKR-TV News Channel 3 in Norfolk, Va., is looking for a full-time graphic artist. The primary focus of the graphic artist is to create, coordinate, and maintain on air graphics for News, Production and Promotion Departments.
Core Job Functions:
• Ability to spell, type and use a range of computer and production equipment.
• Design and implementation of television graphics for news and promotions.
• Design and layout of newspaper ads, forms, etc. using desktop publishing software as well as conventional tools.
• Assists with design and creation of props for commercials, promos, and displays.
• Assists with design and creation of visual aids for studio sets.
• Keeps inventory of all graphic work material, both print and electronic.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Must understand using design elements in news, advertising and programming graphics, advanced Type Design skills essential.
Education Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of television experience. Must possess a working knowledge of Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator. VIZrt or 3D animation experience is a plus (Cinema 4D or other similar software.)
Physical Requirements:
Good manual dexterity to operate equipment. Excellent eyesight and color perception.
