Summer 2012 Institute on Political Journalism

Outstanding students are wanted for nominations for the 2012 Institute on Political Journalism, sponsored by The Fund for American Studies with courses accredited by Georgetown University. The institute is a summer academic internship program held in Washington , DC, for undergraduates interested in exploring careers within the fields of Journalism, communications, and public relations.

The Institute combines substantive professional experience for 30 hours a week in addition to rigorous Georgetown University academic coursework. Students are also given the opportunity to attend unique networking activities featuring Washington’s leading reporters and editors. This fast-paced, eight-week residential program provides students from around the world with the opportunities to gain an edge in today’s competitive job market and graduate school admissions, as well as experience the excitement of Washington first-hand.

The institute will be held June 10-August 3, 2012. Applications will be reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis until March 7, 2012. Early applicants will receive priority internship placement. Preference is given to nominated students. Students can be nominated at www.DCinternships.org/Nominate.
