KDKA-TV/WPCW-TV will be conducting internship interviews for the 2012 Winter/Spring semester (January though May) on Monday, November 28, 2011. The interviews will be held that day only at KDKA-TV (420 Fort Duquesne Blvd., Suite 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15222).
The welcome and introduction will begin promptly at 10:00 am and registration begins at 9:00 am. Each interviewer will briefly summarize the nature, requirements and qualifications of each internship position. Candidates must be a junior or senior (i.e. have completed their sophomore year by the beginning of the internship) to be eligible and must be receiving college credit for the internship. There are no paid positions in their program.
All prospective December graduates of the P.I. Reed School of Journalism are invited to attend the SOJ’s December Graduate Open House event on Sunday, December 11.
Dean Maryanne Reed and faculty will acknowledge the graduating class and recognize top graduating seniors and students graduating with Latin Honors. A light reception will follow in 101-102 Martin Hall. All graduates are encouraged to attend.

This fast-paced, eight-week residential program provides students from around the world with opportunities to gain the edge in today’s competitive job market and graduate school admissions, as well as experience the excitement of Washington first-hand.

Interns would work closely with a professional blogger to write 2-3 blog posts per week, conduct research, and assist with other projects on an as-needed basis.
Various sections within USA TODAY, including its website and TV divisions, need interns, year-round, in McLean, Va., just outside of Washington, D.C. Internships are limited to students who will receive academic credit for their experience.
Semester-long fall, spring and summer internship assignments include:
FASPE (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics), in collaboration with The Museum of Jewish Heritage—A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, is now accepting applications for a fellowship designed to challenge journalism students to consider contemporary ethical issues using the conduct of journalists in Nazi Germany as a framework. Fellowships include an all-expense paid trip from New York to Berlin, Krakow, and O?wi?cim (Auschwitz) where students will work with leading faculty to explore both the history and the ethical issues facing their profession today. All program costs, including international and European travel, lodging, and food, are covered.
The tentative program dates for FASPE Journalism are May 21 – June 1, 2012.
