Financial writers wanted--Dow Jones Newswires

Dow Jones Newswires’ Rewrite desk is a breaking news team that writes the first version of most corporate news, such as earnings, mergers and executive appointments, released by press release or SEC filing for the newswire and The Wall Street Journal’s website. The team operates on 15- to 20-minute deadlines, so working well under pressure is a must. Writers generally focus on three to four industries but have to be prepared to cover any news. The team also looks to break news by chasing intraday stock moves. Successful candidates generally have at least a basic understanding of earnings statements and write clearly and quickly on deadline. Please submit by email a cover letter, resume and five clips to lauren.pollock@dowjones.com.
