Racer Productions seeks multimedia coordinator intern

Job Type: Unpaid Part-Time Internship | Application Deadline: October 1, 2012

Racer Productions, promoters and producers of the top professional and amateur motocross and off-road series in the world, is looking for a Multimedia Coordinator to organize and archive video footage and photography, in addition to editing and creating photos for visual communications and short videos for online and social media sites. The ideal candidate will possess excellent editing skills; work extremely well with others and under pressure; have a thirst for new media; have a thorough, working command of Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut; have the ability to multi-task; and be creative and fun. Racer Productions is a high intensity and fast paced place to work, yet very exciting and a lot of fun. The right candidate must be able fit in with the hard-working staff.

APPLICANT MUST:
*Live locally and work a minimum of 15 hours per week. 
*Be extremely organized. 
*Be technically proficient and curious. 
*Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut. 
*Have superb writing skills.
*Have basic programming skills (HTML, CSS, etc.).
*Be able to quickly switch focus between projects.
*Be a well-rounded person who embraces new-media opportunities.
*Communicate well. 
*Be reliable.
*Be willing to do whatever needs done. 
 *Have a basic understanding of motocross.
*Be cool, calm and flexible under pressure.
*Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
*Have an overall excitement to learn from and contribute to a quickly growing motocross business.
*Be creative.

This position is a lot of work for an entry-level internship, and expectations will be higher than many entry-level positions. But it’s also a very rare opportunity for the right person to start a career at the epicenter of professional motocross and supercross, and to learn from some of the industry’s brightest people (Davey Coombs, Jason Weigandt, etc.). And there is definitely room for advancement. For the right person, this could be the chance of a lifetime.
