Racer Productions seeks web content/multimedia manager intern

Job Type: Unpaid Part-Time Internship, with opportunity for Full-Time Employment

Racer Productions, promoters and producers of the top professional and amateur motocross and off-road series in the world, is looking for a web content and multimedia manager to organize, manage, write and post content, proof, and maintain posting schedule on all company owned websites. Additionally the ideal candidate will have the ability to edit and create short videos for the websites.

APPLICANT MUST:
• Graduate in Spring 2013. 
• Live locally and work a minimum of 15 hours per week. 
• Be organized. 
• Be technically proficient and curious. 
• Have significant CMS experience. 
• Be proficient in Photoshop, Final Cut and other related software, 
• Have basic programming skills (HTML, CSS etc.).
• Quickly learn new software with relative ease.
• Have video editing experience, the more you have, the more opportunity available.
• Be a well-rounded person who embraces new-media opportunities.
• Communicate well. 
• Be reliable.
• Be willing to do whatever needs done. 
• Have a passion for motocross, supercross, and motorcycle racing in general. 
• Be cool, calm and flexible under pressure.

This position entails a lot of work for an entry-level internship, and expectations will be higher than many entry-level positions. But it’s also a very rare opportunity for the right person to start a career at the epicenter of professional motocross and supercross, and to learn from some of the industry’s brightest people (Davey Coombs, Jason Weigandt, etc.). And there is definitely room for advancement. For the right person, this could be the chance of a lifetime.
