Vote for your favorite SOJ Teacher--Deadline March 20!

WVU P.I. Reed School of Journalism’s 5th Annual Golden Quill Teaching AwardsWho is your favorite teacher at the SOJ? Why is he or she so special? This is your chance to speak up!

The WVU P.I. Reed School of Journalism’s 5th Annual Golden Quill Teaching Awards will be available for voting March 4-March 20.

The purpose of the awards is to honor outstanding teaching and mentoring in the School of Journalism. The awards are based solely on student nominations. This is YOUR chance to recognize a teacher who has had a positive impact on your education in the School of Journalism.

Two awards are given each year:

  • one for full-time faculty and/or visiting professors, and
  • one for instructors who have taught for at least three semesters.

Thanks to your votes, last year’s winners were Professor Jim Ebel (faculty award) and Angela Lindley (instructor award)! Because they won in 2012, they are not eligible for this year’s awards.

Please take the time to nominate an outstanding professor and instructor. You may only vote for each award once, and you will need to provide your MIX e-mail information. Make sure you hit the submit button at the end of the form.

Voting will run from Monday, March 4, through Wednesday, March 20. To vote, visit http://journalism.wvu.edu/goldenquill.

Winners will be announced at the 2013 Spring Awards Ceremony and on the School of Journalism website.
