Paid Summer Internship in the Office of Donor Relations

Description: The Office of Donor Relations is currently seeking a summer intern to assist with writing projects for A State of Minds: The Campaign for West Virginia’s University. Primarily, the intern will assist the Director of Donor Relations/Campaign Coordinator with drafting content for a campaign report, which is scheduled to be released early August. Other projects will include electronic communications, campaign marketing and social media.
Tasks will include but not be limited to:
• Researching topics relating to the Campaign
• Writing content on relevant topics
• Compiling information on past and upcoming Campaign activity
• Sorting data for donor recognition
Qualities: effective time management; attention to detail; creativity
Skills: internet research; strong writing skills; strong communication skills
Preferred major: Rising senior or graduate student in the School of Journalism
Schedule: 38.75 hours per week for a 12 week summer term (negotiable)
Preferred start date: Monday, May 20th (negotiable)
The WVU Foundation will begin reviewing applications on May 1st.
The position will remain open until filled.
