The West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI) is seeking a Communications Intern (paid)

The West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI) is seeking a Communications Intern (paid) to assist with communications efforts for the statewide initiative administered by the WVU Research Corporation.

The successful candidate should be comfortable with social media communications, video editing applications, web, and text platforms. Responsibilities will include managing the institute’s media clip file, organizing and managing the digital photo library, drafting and scheduling social media posts, assisting at WVCTSI events, and other duties as part of the WVCTSI Strategic Communications Plan.

This internship will begin in August 2014 for the 2014-2015 academic year. Time requirement: 12-15 hours/week. This is a paid internship.

Based in the WVU Health Science Center, WVCTSI serves entities throughout the state of West Virginia including: West Virginia University, WVU’s Health Science Center, WVU Healthcare, West Virginia United Health System, the Charleston Area Medical Center, and the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Interested students should be of at least junior standing in August 2014 and maintain a 3.0 GPA to be considered.
