The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Communications Coordinator that serves for Panther Central. This includes the ID Center, Housing and Food Services. As Communications Coordinator, the incumbent, in conjunction with the Assistant Manager, will be responsible for managing all marketing, advertising, and image and brand plans and initiatives for Panther Central. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for strategically evaluating the current Panther Central brand and identifying opportunities to improve Panther Central visibility among students, staff, and faculty to improve marketing efforts and communications to those target groups. The incumbent will be required to research and analyze data to enhance existing programs and design and implement new programs and initiatives. The Communications Coordinator will write content, design, and distribute all Panther Central communications, including but not limited to brochures, general email communications, and social media content. The Communications Coordinator is tasked with ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment of communications with the Panther Central image and vision.

The Communications Coordinator must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills. The incumbent must also demonstrate the ability to operate in a team-oriented environment. The ability to think critically and creatively is required.

Experience and requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or related field is required. Experience with project management, developing communication/marketing strategies is preferred. University or higher-education experience strongly preferred.
