Dean presents innovation program at Missouri

Dean Maryanne ReedMaryanne Reed recently gave an invited presentation at the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism. The two-day event, “Green Shoots in Journalism Education,” showcased current innovations in journalism education led by faculty and administrators. Reed talked about the college’s new Innovator-in-Residence program. Eric Newton, senior adviser to the president at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, also was there to discuss his updated book, “Searchlights and Sunglasses.” Other presenters included faculty members from The New School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Morgan State University, the University of Florida, Northwestern University Knight Lab, as well as Missouri School of Journalism faculty and students. Check out the video on YouTube.
