Jonathan Lacocque, the owner of Coat of Arms Postproduction will be on campus tomorrow (Thursday, February 19) and would like to meet with some students who might be a good fit for an internship this semester. Interview times are extremely limited *.

This opportunity does not require college credit, so you could start immediately and gain valuable experience.

Mr. Lacocque is looking for two interns: one in Film and Brand Marketing and one Associate Producer. Both positions are unpaid, but Mr. Lacocque said that these could expand into a freelance opportunity.

The full job descriptions are below. Please email Eric Minor (eric.minor@mail.wvu.edu) as soon as possible with your top three choices for interview times (1:00, 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, 2:00).

Interested students can go to coatofarmspost.com to see their work and find out more about them. They work with a wide range of clients from small businesses, to fortune 500 companies, and agencies. Their focus is post-production, but they are often asked to film as well, as their background is in production.

Film and Brand Marketing Internship

Coat of Arms is looking for a passionate and clear communicator to help build an online audience for their work. Duties include managing aspects of their social media pages – and getting them followers, to developing blog content with keyword search knowledge. They want their brand to grow with purpose. This internship requires working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Kickstarter, Vimeo, Skype, and an understanding of SEO, inbound, & content marketing. Additionally, they’ll be entering several films into festivals, and need help pulling together marketing campaigns that include targeted communications with certain film festivals, news-outlets and magazines, and finding creative ways to garner interest in their work. This will start as a volunteer experience or for credit and may expand into a paid freelance opportunity.

Associate Producer Internship*

Coat of Arms is looking for an Associate Producer (AP) intern. Only go-getters, do-gooders, and get’er-doners should apply. If you’re organized and like marking things off your task list, this internship opportunity is for you. The AP will have their hands in a lot of projects and gets random duties thrown at them at any moment. The AP will book hotels for the production crew, and find a cheap option near the main location! The company needs someone to go through all of their footage, log it, organize it, and sync it in two days. This opportunity requires a relatively stable and recurring schedule (e.g. Available Mondays & Wednesdays from 10a to 2p). Working knowledge of, or interest in, Adobe Premiere is preferred but not required. Project and time management skills a must. A positive attitude and personable style of communication are also important. This will start as a volunteer experience or for credit and may expand into a paid freelance opportunity.
