West Virginia Executive magazine seeks editorial production assistant

For the past 17 years, West Virginia Executive magazine has a proud tradition of being a cheerleader for the Mountain State. Through eye-catching photography and in-depth editorial, we shed a positive light on our state’s success stories as a way of encouraging our leaders—both present and upcoming.

WVE is looking for a full-time production assistant based out of Charleston, West Virginia. The main three components of this position are writing, editing and social media management.

Responsibilities:

  • Mail list – adjust the mail list with new readers and subscriptions as necessary (per issue), prepare mail list for printing
  • Generate reports for weekly meetings
  • Update the client list (possible)
  • Manage incoming contracts (scan, file and distribute copies to necessary individuals)
  • Errands as necessary (Bank, Staples)
  • Manage subscription list – add new subscribers, mail out renewal forms, manage current subscriptions
  • Manage lawsuits – organize information, file at Magistrate Court, follow up with necessary action
  • Contribute to social media updates (use of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn)
  • Update press releases on Web site as needed
  • Pay-at-pubs (stuff and mail)
  • Mass Mailings (EMP, invitations, et cetera)
  • Assist with event planning
  • Database entry (possible)
  • Answer phones
  • Filing (all)

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must have personal vehicle for errands
  • Must be able to multi-task, organize and pay attention to detail
