  • The Boston Globe is accepting applications for its 2016 Summer Intern Program. Most interns will work as general assignment reporters, but there are some positions in Sports, Living/Arts, Health/Science and Business. They also offer internships in their Photography and Editorial Design Departments. Interns work for 12 weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day. May graduates may apply! Pays a weekly wage!   • The Pulliam Journalism Fellowship Program is accepting applications for a 10-week internship, which runs from June 6-August 12th in Indianapolis or Phoenix. 20 students will be accepted and assigned to either The Indianapolis Star or The Arizona Republic. College juniors, seniors and graduate students may apply. The internships pay $650/week. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2015. Download an application at http://static.indystar.com/en/pulliam/.   • The Sports Task Force (associated with the Asian American Journalists’ Association) offers mentorship and scholarship opportunities for any student interested in a career in sports media. They’re currently accepting applications for the Al Young Scholarship. The deadline to apply is October 30, 2015. You must be a member of AAJA to apply (but do not have to be of Asian descent to be a member).   • Mon Hills Records, the official record label of West Virginia University, is looking to hire four interns for its PR/Marketing Department. While these positions are unpaid, it’s a great opportunity to get some music industry experience that could help you reach the next level of your career. The label is looking for students from all sides of the PR/Marketing/Strategic Communications industry, whether your specialty is photography, videography, creative design, writing, promotion or event planning.   • The #RespectfulMountaineer organization is looking for a student intern to serve as Press Secretary. This person will be responsible for communicating and publishing organizational news and PR messages on behalf of Respectful Mountaineer. You must have some experience writing press releases, be able to communicate with University entities, research and update media databases, coordinate media outreach, help the social team identify stories to highlight.   • “Your Community Foundation” is looking for a PAID student writer to create content for its website and other marketing materials. This position pays up to $5000 per semester for a two-semester commitment of approximately 25 hours per week. Your Community Foundation represents a five-county area in and around Monongalia County and will be raising money for non-profit organizations in Monongalia, Marion, Harrison, Preston and Taylor Counties. This will culminate in a special awards event on April 8th at the home of WVU President Gordon Gee. Serious candidates only.   • The WVU Center for Public Health Training Center seeks a Marketing Intern to assist with creating a marketing packet. Additionally, they’re looking for help with monthly media alerts to promote a monthly speaker series.   • Looking for some experience in sports video production? WVU Athletics Digital Media seeks a student intern to assist with shooting and editing video for features for WVUSports.Com and its associated websites and social media platforms.
