We’d like to thank everyone who supported the WVU Reed College of Media during WVU’s third annual Day of Giving!

Through the generosity of our alumni, faculty, staff and friends, the College of Media was able to raise more than $39,000 from 108 gifts during WVU's third annual Day of Giving, a 24-hour online fundraising event held November 13. These funds will support our ongoing efforts to innovate our curriculum, give students access to the most current media technology and applications, provide them with valuable hands-on learning opportunities and help them adapt and succeed in the dynamic media industry.

During the Day of Giving, we were able to meet challenges and matches set by our alumni. The first 25 gifts to the College unlocked a $1,000 gift from Samme Gee (BSJ, 1975). The first 25 gifts to the IMC/DMC Scholarship Fund met the participation challenge pledged by Valerie Ater, Matthew Cummings, David Hazelton, Bob Sukys and Dr. Barbara-Leigh Tonelli, to donate $3,000 to the scholarship. We also came very close to meeting Dr. Sandra Englebright Utt (BSJ, 1968) challenge to match all gifts made to the Reed College of Media’s Greatest Needs Fund dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $12,500, and she has generously agreed to donate the full amount.
