Matthew Heim is a communications leader with experience as an educator, digital manager, and as a public relations executive. He currently serves as Digital Strategy Lead at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, telling the story online of health information technology. He oversees all digital communication outlets like social media, blog, email marketing, and website (HealthIT.gov). He brings an integrated marketing perspective to the work of the federal government and advises senior leadership on digital communication best practices.

In his previous role as Vice President, Executive Digital Producer at global public relations firm Ketchum, Mr. Heim helped clients create websites, launch video campaigns, helped create animated and interactive infographics - and much more. Prior to the federal government and Ketchum, he had stints at Deloitte Consulting and worked as a journalist at a number of television stations in Ohio, West Virginia, and the Washington, D.C. metro area. 

Mr. Heim earned his Masters of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Bethany College (WV). He resides in Annapolis, Maryland.
