Chuck Scatterday is a creative leader with more than 30 years in the television production industry. During his career in producing network television live, remote and studio events, he mastered making split decisions under pressure, providing hard feedback, working collaboratively and deploying creative alternatives quickly and efficiently, with an appreciation for resources and budget.

Scatterday was previously an executive producer and operations manager for WV Illustrated, a Nexstar Media Group outlet. WV Illustrated manages all third-tier media assets for West Virginia University Athletics. Scatterday made all key production and operations decisions, both on- and off-screen while adhering to budgets and sales guidelines. He was responsible for all editorial content for multiple shows supporting the media assets for WVU athletics, including all WVU coaching shows, Saturday Game Day, basketball specials and Olympic sporting events throughout the calendar year. He also researched and booked talent for weekly shows, was the on-site operations producer for remote events, was the line producer for all productions and managed a staff of more than 100, including freelance production crew, for weekly shows.

Prior to his role with Nexstar Media Group, Scatterday spent more than 25 years with ESPN, first as a broadcast manager and then as a coordinating producer. He helped launched ESPNU with oversight of editorial content, talent acquisition, budget and all areas of event production for college football and various Olympic sports. He was also responsible for the content and live event production for approximately 140 events appearing on ESPN assets each fall.
