Schedule an Advising Appointment

You will receive an email from your advisor to schedule an appointment. Students must meet with their advisor during their assigned time period. Students may not register for an appointment earlier than their assigned time period. Any student who makes an appointment earlier than assigned will be deleted and asked to reschedule for the appropriate week.

Steps for Scheduling your Advising Appointment

1. Log into Navigate using your WVU MyID.
2. On the Student Home Screen, there is a Get Assistance link (blue box in the upper right corner).
   
   
   
3. Under What type of appointment would you like to schedule, select Advising from the drop-down menu.
   
   
   
4. Then, under Service:
   • If you want to schedule with your Academic Advisor, select Reed Advising from the drop-down menu.
   • If you want to schedule with Eric Minor, select Reed Career Counseling from the drop-down menu.
   
   
   
   
5. Pick a date and then click Find Available Time.
   
6. Use the filters at the left to view different days, to choose your advisor, or to select a virtual or in-person appointment. You can also choose your advisor from the list at the top of the available times.
   • You can find your academic advisor listed in DegreeWorks.
   
   
   
   
7. Click on your preferred appointment time, review the information, select how you would like to meet (if applicable) and click the button to Schedule.
