Daily Athenaeum Seeks 2009-2010 Editor-In-Chief

The West Virginia University Committee on Student Publications is now soliciting applications for the positions of editor-in-chief of the Daily Athenaeum for the 2009-2010 school year. The editor-in-chief is responsible for the content of the newspaper.

Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better and must be a full-time fee paying student, but need not be a journalism major. Both positions are paid and are expected to serve the total 2009-2010 school year. The selected editor is expected to report duty by August 3, 2009. Candidates may pick up application forms and job descriptions at The Daily Athenaeum business office. In addition to the application form, three supporting letters (at least one should be from someone other than a Daily Athenaeum employee) and six examples of work that illustrate qualifications should be submitted. Candidates are asked to read the specific responsibilities for the position. Completed forms must be typewritten and submitted by 4:00 p.m., June 11, 2009, to:
