About August 2017 Graduation

Potential College of Media graduates: 

August 2017 commencement is approaching quickly, and the online application is now open! If you anticipate graduating in August, make sure to submit your graduation application by July 7, 2017 – no applications will be accepted after this date. If you have applied to graduate in a prior term but your degree was not granted, you have to submit a new graduation application for August 2017. Only students who will complete all degree requirements by the end of summer term are eligible for August graduation and should apply.

College of Media students receive top awards from PRSA West Virginia Chapter

College of Media students won three Crystal awards and three honorable mentions at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) West Virginia Chapter Awards Gala in Charleston on June 14. The Crystal Award is the top prize in each of the Association’s award categories.

WVU team achieves fourth place finish in year three of EcoCAR 3 competition

EcoCarWith one year left to go in the four-year EcoCAR 3 competition, the team from West Virginia University finds itself in some pretty good company. After a two-week stint that featured stops in Michigan and Washington, D.C., the team from WVU placed fourth overall, joining Ohio State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Georgia Tech at the top. 

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and General Motors, EcoCAR 3 is an advanced vehicle technology competition that gives teams from 16 universities across the nation four years to redesign a Chevrolet Camaro to reduce its environmental impact, while maintaining the muscle and performance expected from this iconic American car.
