Journalism professor Temple honored with 2010-11 Caperton award

West Virginia University professor and associate dean of the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism John Temple has given students the tools and inspiration they need to succeed in the journalism world for more than eight years.

This year he is being recognized for his extraordinary efforts with the Caperton Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Writing.

Work Opportunity for Graduate Student

Graduate student needed for 10-15 hours per week in the WVU School of Nursing Alumni Office for:

—writing articles for SON Magazine and the web site
—proof reading 
—performing interviews and taking photos of selected candidates for SON articles
—taking photos of events and subjects of articles
—assist with School of Nursing events when necessary
—filing, typing, computer work, general office work
—professional personality and punctuality a must
—Approx. 15 hrs per week, competitive salary

The interns are matched with a specific department at our national headquarters, have the opportunity to work on advancing critical projects for the respective units, receive professional development training, and have opportunities to meet with Red Cross leadership.

Martin Hall collection point for "WVU Toy Mountain" drive

WVU Student Organizations Services is holding a toy drive for less fortunate children in our area this Holiday Season. “WVU Toy Mountain” or “SHOP” (students helping other people) will run through the end of finals week.
