Last week, Pulitzer-Prize winning College of Media alumna Margie Mason (BSJ, 1997)
shared words of wisdom and inspiration with students at this year’s May Commencement Ceremony.
Mason, a reporter for the Associated Press, acted as the event’s keynote speaker.
She addressed nearly 300 College of Media graduates on May 12 at the WVU Coliseum.
During the ceremony, Mason was presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Letters for
her achievement of international preeminence in her field and distinguished contributions
to society.
Of those 4,500 graduates, 3,083 will receive their undergraduate degrees or certificates, 915 their master’s degrees and 531 have earned their doctorates.
