Martin-Hall Agency is the first student-led and student-run Integrated Marketing Communications agency at WVU. Agency members obtain real-world IMC experience through working with paying clients. We are seeking new members for the fall 2014 semester with the preferred majors but not limited: Advertising, Public Relations, Strategic Communications, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Finance, Accounting and Business.

WVU’s Vice President of Research, Dr. Fred King, is inviting students to attend WVU’s Second Annual Innovation Awards Ceremony. The event is Monday, September 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Place Hotel. The keynote speaker is Wes Bush, CEO of Northrop Grumman. Bush is a West Virginia native with a remarkable career from a systems engineer to his current role as CEO. In addition, President Gee, Provost McConnell, Health Sciences Vice President Dillon and Dr. King will be active participants. For planning purposes, be sure to RSVP.
Full-time admitted College of Media students are now able to print using your student ID card at the printers outside of G4 Martin. Students receive $35 toward printing for the semester, which has been placed on your card. Costs to print remain the same as last year and appear below:
Please note that when your printing balance gets below 6 cents, you will need to call OIT (3-4444) to clear (zero out) this balance before you can continue to print using your own “Mountie Bounty” funds.

The WVU Reed College of Media is now accepting applications for its Professional Mentorship Program. The program matches juniors, seniors and graduate students with industry leaders from the College’s network of alumni and friends. Professional mentors provide guidance, coaching and support for students in journalism and strategic communications as they prepare to enter the workforce. The application period is now open, and the program continues through the end of the academic year. Applications are available online .
The WVU Reed College of Media (formerly the P.I. Reed School of Journalism) begins its 75th year on WVU campus with a new name, upgraded facilities and new curricula.
MEDIA INNOVATION LAB On Monday, August 18, College of Media students were the first to use the new Alexis and Jim Pugh Media Innovation Lab on the second floor of Martin Hall. Built this summer, the lab is an open, flexible environment that offers students access to the latest media technology and fosters creativity, ideation and product development.
