WV Radio Coporation and American Legion Baseball need volunteers

West Virginia Radio Corporation & American Legion Baseball are looking
for volunteers to help during the West Virginia State & Mid Atlantic
Regional Baseball Tournaments. Volunteers will be asked to help sell
tickets, concessions, programs, and help out with parking, along with
several other tasks to help make these tournaments successful. Since
1925, The American Legion has sponsored a nationwide youth baseball
program, and their 2.8 million members have raised millions of dollars
each year for players to learn the importance of teamwork, discipline,
leadership and good sportsmanship. The American Legion sponsors
American Legion Baseball to give players an opportunity to develop their
skills, personal fitness, leadership qualities and to have fun.

The tournaments will be held at WVU’s Hawley Field right next to the
Coliseum. We will need volunteers for the state tournament :

Photography scholarship

WorldNomads.com, in conjunction with National Geographic Channel and 
Gap Adventures, is offering a scholarship to Antarctica with on-assignment 
National Geographic photographer Jason Edwards. The scholarship recipient will 
photograph the world’s most remote wilderness and have their photographs 
published on the National Geographic Channel website.

The winner of the scholarship will be flown to Argentina from their 
country of residence where they will join an 11-day Antarctic Expedition with 
Gap Adventures. They will gain invaluable mentoring and hands-on experience 
in everything from shot set up, technique and composition.

THE DAILY ATHENAEUM IS HIRING

The Daily Athenaeum is now accepting applications for the position of Web Editor for the 2009-10 school year. The Web Editor is a newly created position developed by The Daily Athenaeum that will be responsible for all Web-based content of the newspaper. The Web Editor will update the newspaper’s Web site on a nightly basis on every production date (five times per week during the fall and spring semesters), will be required to develop and post multimedia to the Web site and keep in constant contact with all editors, writers, etc., involved with the Web process.
