Edgewood Country Club is seeking a Director of Marketing. Edgewood Country Club is the premier private club in West Virginia. It was founded in 1898 and today is a true Town/Country Club. Its main campus is on a hill-top looking over the city of Charleston. The golf course is twenty miles north on a perfect piece of land along the river. The membership level is six hundred with a cap of seven hundred members.
POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for the development and implementation of the club’s marketing and sales objectives; including programs, market research, concept positioning, promotion and public relations.
- Net new members and member retention.
- Oversee marketing of golf outings and catering.
- Manage membership expenses and departmental forecasting
- Leadership role in two standing committees.
- Responsible for generating sufficient prospect inventory to support the club’s sales plan.
- Responsible for timely follow-up with all leads and new members.
- Enhance existing website’s appeal and usability.
- Represent the club in community activities and organizations; provide community awareness of the club’s needs and objectives.
- Work with Board of Directors as a liaison with the general membership.
- Work closely with the entire club staff to ensure members are receiving the best in member services.
Job Requirements: Two years previous sales experience. Degree in business, marketing, communications or hospitality preferred. Salary Range: US $34,000.00 – $45,000.00 plus Medical and Dental
