The Downtown Journal and Southwest Journal, two award-winning biweekly community newspapers in Minneapolis, have an opening for a staff reporter to join the papers’ strong news team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a journalist interested in joining a dedicated team of reporters known for their excellent coverage of civic affairs, neighborhood issues and the local arts scene, among other topics, in southwest and downtown Minneapolis. The ideal candidate for this position has a degree in journalism, two to three years experience working for a newspaper and an interest in working on multimedia projects. The reporter would be charged with covering several neighborhoods in downtown Minneapolis, among other beats.
