Full-time PAID internships at Hunter Public Relations in NYC

Hunter Public Relations in New York offers full-time (35–40 hours per week) paid internships to qualified candidates from late May to late August. The internship term lasts approximately 8–10 weeks, and start and stop dates are mutually agreed upon between the agency and intern.

Hunter PR will may also have Fall (September-December) and Winter (January-April) internship positions. If so, postings to this web site will be made in mid-August and mid-December.

Hunter PR interns are fully-functioning team members working on active agency accounts. Interns report to an account executive or senior account executive and are generally assigned to 2–3 main client projects. Duties include drafting press materials, building media lists, brainstorming ideas, researching ideas, pitching media and planning event logistics. Qualified applicants should have:

  • A basic understanding of public relations, its purposes and tools
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Solid writing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • PRSSA experience or involvement (desired, but not required)
  • Established residence and transportation arrangements in the NY metro area for the internship period
