Consultants for http://takepart.com are looking to hire several domain expert bloggers. They are looking for the following immediately in LA or on call:
Domain expert reporter/bloggers: Performance writing (speed accuracy),
multiple post’s daily, high quality and can grow blogging into longer form work.
3- 5 years writing and reporting and demonstrated depth in one of these
subject areas.
- Education
- Oceans, Water, Sea-Life, Environment
- Food Issues
- Arts Culture
- Military and other service professions (public safety, etc)
Visual editor (photo info graphics): Rights clearance,
selection and photo stories, commissioning info graphics and other story
art.
Positions to be filled in the near future include:
Copy editor/re-writer: Fast, smart and good at headlines
Managing editor: Responsible for daily news meetings and timeliness of posts. Must have a smart
perspective, understand their voice, have a programming mindset and not afraid of the
data.
They will also be looking for story pitches and commissioning work. They are
especially interested in photo and video pieces.
