Martinsburg VA Medical Center seeks student worker and interns

The Martinsburg VA Medical Center seeks to hire a student interested in working in the field of federal communications. Besides highly competitive pay and invaluable on-the-job experience in print and broadcast communications, the position may be renewed annually. Additionally, there are several non-paid internship opportunities for credit or for those wishing to simply build their portfolio by serving as a VA volunteer working on varied projects.

Examples of the types of experience to be gained through any of the programs includes: producing news videos, writing audio/video scripts, preparing audio PSAs, writing feature print stories, magazine layout, copyediting, graphic design, social media development, event planning and execution, marketing, digital still photography, and digital journalism. In many cases, especially for the non-paid internships, work may be accomplished via telework thereby limiting the need frequent travel.
