The Bluefield Daily Telegraph has a rare opening for a full-time reporter. Our experienced news team includes writers with an average of 20 years reporting experience at the Daily Telegraph, and we’re now seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated reporter to join our staff. Successful candidates should be self-starters, with strong communication, writing, reporting and interviewing skills. Photography skills a plus. Job will include weekend, evening and holiday shifts. The position requires reporting for the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, the established daily newspaper serving southern West Virginia and Southwest Virginia, as well as our regional magazines. Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or related field preferred. Candidates for spring 2010 graduation may apply.
