New Media/Website Internship (Spring 2011) – Pittsburgh Penguins (Pittsburgh, Pa.)
Reports to: Director of New Media
Based at: Pittsburgh Penguins, CONSOL Energy Center
Job Purpose: Assist the Director of New Media in management and maintenance of the official website of the Pittsburgh Penguins as well as social media initiatives.
Qualifications: Intern should be pursuing a degree in graphic design, interactive design, multimedia, marketing, advertising or a related discipline. The intern must have junior or senior status and must take the internship for credit during the Spring 2011 semester. This internship is unpaid.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Graphic design skills using Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with website development or management
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Post updated content online using the NHL’s content management system
- Create photo galleries
- Assist in website content creation
- Assist in digital marketing campaign creation and deployment
