One of the region’s top 20 public relations/public affairs firms located in Tysons Corner, Va., is seeking applicants for an Account Assistant position.
The Account Assistant will assist the project manager in coordinating logistics for large scale public relations and community outreach/grassroots programs for major transportation clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones
- Database management
- Phone calls to businesses and community groups
- Coordinating direct mail and community outreach activities
- Event planning assistance
- Managing intern program
- Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 4-year college graduate
· Ability to multi-task and work on deadline
· Excellent written & oral communications skills
· Required to work some evenings and weekends for community events
· Previous campaign or grassroots experience a plus
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
