International Crisis Group's senior analyst to discuss War in Afghanistan at Mountainlair

On Wednesday April 27, 2011, at 6:00 PM in the Monongahela Room in the Mountainlair, on the WVU Downtown Campus, Candace Rondeaux , International Crisis Group’s Senior analyst based in Kabul, will address the ongoing conflict and stabilization efforts in Afghanistan in a talk titled: Afghanistan_Exit vs Engagement 
A reception featuring Afghan cuisine will follow. Ms. Rondeaux will also meet with students, faculty and administrators during her visit.

Before joining ICG in 2009, Ms. Rondeaux was the Islamabad/Kabul bureau chief for “The Washington Post” and has covered criminal justice issues in Maryland and Virginia for the Post where she was part of a team of Pulitzer Prize winning reporters, photographers, and editors who helped cover the Virginia Tech shootings in 2007.
