The Commercial Review (Portland, Ind.), a 5,000 circulation, award-winning daily newspaper, is seeking its next star reporter.
The main area of focus will be coverage of city government and the police beat. The job also includes photography, layout/design, proofreading and feature writing.
We have a small, close-knit staff and we work together to make our product the best it can be. Our ideal candidate will have newspaper writing experience at the collegiate and/or professional level, an inquisitive nature to ask insightful questions in order to better inform our readers and a desire to work hard and become a well-rounded journalist.
Experience with photography and layout/design are helpful, but not required. Competitive wages and benefits offered.
