Where: Reingold, Washington, D.C. 
Work Location: Falling Waters, WV 
Status: Full time; Temp. NTE 1yr.

Our senior specialists lead account teams, maintain client relations, and develop strategy—while launching campaigns and adding value to each and every client assignment.

The successful candidate will have experience and working knowledge in the following areas:

• Marketing/communications experience to include the utilization of internal and external creative resources
• Strategic planning and campaign development 
• Brand development skills with demonstrable experience in developing a complete brand identity including mission, vision, values, logo, etc. 
• Public relations/journalism experience in PR campaign development, research, publication queries, writing press releases, interviewing, developing and copywriting
complete articles, editing and media relationship building 
• Writing in multiple styles including journalistic, promotional, executive correspondence (i.e. objective third person vs. first/second person conversational) 
• Strong understanding of grammar and editing rules 
• Graphic design, printing and design knowledge with experience in developing print and electronic materials 
• Internal communications – ability to use communications to connect leadership and staff, sharing information, policies, best practices in easy to understand language

Additional preferred areas of expertise:

• SharePoint Web/portal marketing an understanding of web parts, content areas, and navigation design
• Special event planning and management including working with multiple event venues, coordinating with onsite vendors, contracting decorators, and etc.
• Presentation development 
• Knowledge of 508 requirements and implementation 
• Strong graphic design/layout experience and ability in Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, in-design and other graphics programs

Position Duties:
• Interview, research and analyze the long and short-term goals of multiple work groups, developing communications strategies using new media approaches and identifying areas where establishing common best practices across groups will help meet these goals
• Design material for print and electronic distribution 
• Develop campaign themes promoting readership and attracting attention while carrying brand consistency 
• Write promotional copy for campaign elements 
• Provide design oversight for in house and external resources, ensuring readability and compliance with brand guidelines and established visuals 
• Research, interview subjects and write articles following journalistic style and established Department style guides for internal newsletters and external publications 
• Research and implement the use of Web 2.0 and SharePoint technology to promote communication using dynamic Web portals 
• Develop workshops and activities, gathering information and leadership participation in creating and launching new products and classes or rebranding existing ones • Develop corporate identity campaigns and elements including logo design/development 
• Create PR plan including press releases, teleconferences announcing major events, article queries and subsequent authorship, and exposure monitoring 
• Develop content and guide creation of newsletters including article solicitation, article creation, editing, and design guidance

A bachelor’s degree and minimum of five to seven years’ experience in communications, marketing, management consulting, business, public administration, or related field is required; seven to ten years’ experience preferred. Agency experience and client/account management experience is essential; new business development and proposal writing experience a plus.
