Paid Summer Internship Opportunities at the Dominion Post

Representatives from the Dominion Post will be conducting interviews in Martin Hall to select two summer interns to work side-by-side with experienced reporters, photographers and editors. Journalism students looking for an opportunity to learn on-the-job should apply.

Interns should expect to hit the ground running and write hard-news, features and sports articles during the 12-week internship.
The internships are paid. Students typically make $10 an hour and work up to 29 hours a week.

They will rotate through LIfesyles, News, Sports and usually the Preston County Bureau every two weeks so they get a little experience in all areas. Most times, students will work 10-3 or 4 Monday through Friday, but that changes based on assignments, especially when in their sports rotations.

From the first day, the students will be given assignments and begin reporting right away. Interns are treated as staff members and can expect help from editors, reporters and photographers.

Interested students should contact David Becker, David.Becker@mail.wvu.edu for further details.
