Students can win awards of up to $2,000 for writing a news feature piece

CONTEST DATE: 
Friday, March 23 at 9 a.m.
Point Park University, Downtown Pittsburgh

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS: 
Full-time college students who are sophomores, juniors and seniors majoring in journalism, English writing or communications, or those with related majors or skills. All entrants must be Western Pennsylvania residents or attend a Western Pennsylvania college. Both male and female students can enter.

INTERVIEW PROCESS:
This year the students will interview Karla Boos, founder and artistic director of Quantum Theatre. The interview session will last for an hour and then students will then write a feature story from the interview session in a two-hour session. Entries will be judged by Pittsburgh journalists and winners will be announced prior to club’s anniversary dinner on Saturday, April 21 at the Rivers Club Pittsburgh.
