The SOJ’s Alison Bass will participate in a panel discussion on scientific information and the media.
The event, “Communicating Science and Medicine: A Panel Discussion on How and Why” will be held Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:00 p.m. in White Hall G06.
This National Science Foundation sponsored Interdisciplinary Graduate Education and Research Traineeship program features two authors who have used different approaches to write books about science and medicine targeted to lay audiences.
In addition to Bass, who is the author of Side Effects, the panel will feature James Kakalios, Professor of Physics at the University of Minnesota, who is the author of The Physics of Superheroes.
