The SOJ held its annual December Graduate Open House on Sunday, December 9. Family, friends and SOJ faculty gathered in Martin Hall to acknowledge the graduating class and to recognize top graduating seniors and students graduating with Latin Honors. Candidates graduating in the School’s Master of Science in Journalism (MSJ) and Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications (MS-IMC) programs were also recognized. Undergraduate students earning the highest GPA in their major received special awards. Those students included Rebecca Rich (advertising), Chelsi Baker (journalism) and Stephanie Murphy (public relations). Baker and Murphy both earned an overall 4.0 GPA, making them both recipients of the SOJ’s Top Overall Scholar award for December 2012.
