WVU's online Integrated Marketing Communications graduate program to host Morgantown open house on Sept. 25

The West Virginia University P.I. Reed School of Journalism’s online Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) graduate program will host an open house on Sept. 25 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballroom. The open house will feature a one-hour information session from 6 – 7 p.m., followed by a moderated one-hour student and graduate panel from 7 – 8 p.m.

The information session will be led by IMC program administrative team members and will cover program basics from curriculum to course technology to application process.

During the student panel, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of both current IMC students and graduates. Panelists include: IMC graduate Amanda Dunn, senior marketing associate at Mylan Pharmaceuticals; IMC admit Brittany Lavenski, a WVU senior majoring in public relations; IMC student Eric Minor, director of student careers and opportunities at the P.I. Reed School of Journalism; and IMC student Susan Sullivan, public communications manager for the City of Morgantown.

“This is a great opportunity not only for people interested in learning more about WVU’s online IMC graduate program, but also for any student, staff or community member who wants to learn more about IMC and why it’s important,” said Chad Mezera, director of online programs at the P.I. Reed School of Journalism. “We’ve put together an event that showcases both our program, currently celebrating its 10th year, as well as the importance of IMC skills across industries.”

To RSVP for the IMC graduate program open house, visit http://imc.wvu.edu/open-house. There is no cost for the event and it is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

The WVU IMC program was the first online IMC graduate program in the nation and is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary. The IMC program has more than 400 active students enrolled, including many WVU graduates and current WVU employees, from 43 states and five foreign countries, as well as more than 500 graduates representing 46 states and countries on five of the seven continents.
