WBNS-TV, Central Ohio’s News Leader, has openings for three positions.

WBNS-10TV central Ohio’s most watched news station. WBNS has more anchors, reporters, producers and photographers, than other stations and is backed by the Columbus Dispatch, This Week Community Newspapers, Niche Publications, and RadiOhio.

Weekend Anchor
WBNS seeks a dynamic and experienced journalist to anchor weekend evening newscasts. This position will also cover breaking news and interviews assigned on weekends, and will serve as a General Assignment reporter when not anchoring. Successful candidates will have the ability to break through and create a trusted bond with viewers. Candidates must also be strong enterprise storytellers capable of conveying their news sense through their anchoring and reporting. Successful candidate will have a college degree and at least five years experience as an anchor/reporter. Familiarity with Central Ohio a plus.

General Assignment Reporter
WBNS seeks an aggressive, enterprising general assignment reporter to join its award winning news department. Enterprise rules, so the ideal candidate will be able to present ideas for several topical, relevant enterprise stories to the table each day that deliver viewer benefit. The ideal candidate will have superior writing and storytelling ability, ability to dig deep and uncover the big stories, and be able to cover and deliver breaking news with accuracy and urgency. . At least 5 years experience as a reporter at a local TV news station required.

Anchor/Reporter
WBNS seeks an ambitious Anchor/Reporter. The successful candidate will be responsible for anchoring newscasts and breaking news, conducting interviews, reporting for daily news coverage and serving as a strong representative of WBNS-TV in the community. Successful candidate must have exceptional anchoring stills, have strong reporting skills and be able to work a flexible schedule. Must have 5-7 years of previous experience as a News Anchor and should be knowledgeable about Central Ohio.
