U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS:

Position location: William S. Moorhead Federal Bldg, 1000 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, Pa 15222-4186

Position duties: Mid-level Public Affairs Specialist position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District. Oversees the content, design and management of the District intranet, internet and extranet web sites. Uses public affairs knowledge to identify and pursue new and innovative ways to use the web as a communication channel to provide important information. Ensures that information is releasable and within Department of Defense’s regulations. Coordinates planning, design, writing, editing, production and distribution of information brochures, pamphlets. Prepares web site progress reports to Commander. Disseminates news releases and feature articles via the Internet. Performs other duties as assigned. * Note, applicants should be able to demonstrate technical proficiencies in multimedia and will be tested on those skills by creating a web product prior to selection for the position.*

Position Requirements: 40 hrs per week. Formal training plan. Appointed at GS-09 grade level with promotion potential to GS-11. Position is temporary and may be extended up to a 4 year time frame from date of appointment.
Starting salary range $47,444 to $56,932
