College Sports Feed (CSF) is the only college sports blog by the fans, and for the fans on the web! CSF is a blogging network strictly dedicated to college sports taking place on college campuses across the nation, and we are recruiting for writers.

CSF is recruiting writers from campuses across the country to represent their school. As a CSF writer, students will provide the coverage and insight into every sporting event that fans thirst for! This is an excellent opportunity to develop writing styles, expand creativity, and be associated with the CSF professional journalism staff. While building a professional resume, students will also be promoting and building school spirit and excitement on campus! Creating content for CSF will give students the edge and diversify them in a competitive market. The National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) announces call for scholarship entries

The National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) seeks entries for the Leroy F. Aarons scholarship and the Kay Longcope scholarship. These scholarships are awarded annually in honor of two prominent journalists. Applications are available online and will be accepted until January 31, 2010.

The Leroy F. Aarons scholarship was established in 2005 to honor NLGJA founder Leroy “Roy” Aarons and to continue his work of fostering fair and accurate coverage of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues from within the news industry. This annual scholarship will provide up to $5,000 to an LGBT student who plans a career in journalism and is committed to furthering NLGJA’s mission of fair and accurate coverage of the LGBT community.

Washington Center for Politics and Journalism seeks interns

The Washington Center for Politics and Journalism is accepting applications for the 2010 Fall Politics and Journalism Semester.

During 16 weeks in Washington, students work full-time in major news bureaus. Twice a week, they gather for the central purpose of the program: 90-minute seminars on campaign, governance and interest group politics. Students pay no tuition or fees. Each receives a $3,000 stipend to help with Washington living expenses. The program is operated by a non-profit educational foundation, the Washington Center for Politics & Journalism, founded in 1988 to improve political and public affairs journalism. The Center operates from one of America’s best known political addresses, The Watergate, in offices generously provided by Atlantic Media, publishers of Atlantic Monthly and publications of the National Journal Co.
